Screen Snap : Print Screen Layar Ponsel Symbian

Kalo di komputer atau laptop, mengambil screenshot satu layar penuh dapat dilakukan dengan mudah dengan cara meneka tombol Print Screen di keyboard. Lalu bagaimana cara melakukan print screen di ponsel nokia 6120 Classic yang berbasis symbian S60 3rd Edition?
Setelah mencari-cari akhirnya didapatkan dua buah software freeware yang banyak direkomendasikan dibeberapa forum dan dibeberapa blog yaitu software Screenshot dan software Screen Snap. Dari sedikit membaca-baca ternyata keduanya memanfaatkan tombol kamera sebagai tombol print screen. Ok, sekarang saatnya mendownload dan mencoba di ponsel. Download aku lakukan via komputer kemudian filenya ditransfer ke komputer dengan Nokia PC Suite.
Pertama-tama, aku coba software screenshot. Setelah terinstall dan dijalankan, saat aku klik tombol kamera ternyata malah aplikasi kamera yang terbuka dan tidak tercreate gambar hasil print screen-an.
Ok, saatnya mencoba software yang ke dua. Screen Snap. Setelah terinstall dan dijalankan, saat mengklik tombol kamera pada Nokia 6120 Classic terdengar bunyi krik seperti saat mengambil gambar dan aplikasi kamera tidak terbuka. Kemudian ketika di cari di folder images ternyata hasil print screen layar nokia berada di sana.

Push mail Nokia Messaging 1.1 in Nokia 6120 Classic

Finally I upgrade my Nokia Messaging, a push mail application for my Nokia 6120 Classic, into version 1.1. Actually this version was released on 1 April 2009 but i just knowing this information several days ago. Well, this Nokia Messaging 1.1 version also does not have native application for Nokia 6120 classic, but like my previous post, I use the E51 version of Nokia Messaging 1.1 for my Nokia 6120 Classic.

This Nokia Messaging 1.1 support for HTML-formatted emails. Therefore, this version able to handles rich formatted text and lighter HTML-formatted emails very well. This version also support push mail for Windows Live TM Hotmail® and support more language.

Btw, the main improvement of Nokia Messaging 1.1 if we compare it with the previous version is the ability to read more than 2000 character. At the previous version, the email is always truncated at 2000 character and there is no ability to read the rest of the email content. In Nokia Messaging 1.1, the email is also truncated at 2000 character, but when we scroll down, the rest of the email content will be automatically showed. Yo.. can not wait for the next release..

Push email for Nokia 6120 Classic

I searched the ability of my Nokia 6120 classic which using Symbian S60 3rd regarding push email ability and found the fact that actually my Nokia 6120 classic able to do push email but should be installed push email application.

Before writing Nokia 6120 classic push email applications, it will be better if we know what the term of “push email” is. Based on Wikipedia, Push e-mail is used to describe e-mail systems that provide an “always-on” capability, in which new e-mail is instantly and actively transferred (pushed) as it arrives by the mail delivery agent (MDA) (commonly called mail server) to the mail user agent (MUA), also called the e-mail client.

So if this kind of push email system client is installed in phone, the email will be like SMS in phone.

Well, after further searching, I found that there are two good push email applications called system seven and the beta version of Nokia push email. For System Seven, i am little worry about the ability of the application to auto send sms into an isle of man number without our permission if we want to install system seven application in the phone. I don’t want to take a risk for installing that application. Therefore, i skip this application and then try to install the beta version of Nokia push email which can be found in http://email.nokia.com.

Gmail Mobile 2.0 untuk Nokia 6120 Classic

Google ternyata telah mengeluarkan Gmail Mobile versi 2.0 (terbaru). Versi gmail mobile ini diklaim oleh Google lebih cepat, lebih robust, dan lebih mudah digunakan. Wow… menarik. Akhirnya langsung saja dibuktikan dengan meng-install di ponsel HSDPA Nokia 6120 Classic dan SE K790i dengan cara mengarahkan browser ponsel ke alamat http://m.google.com/mail. Pas akan meng-install, ternyata ada notifikasi untuk meng-uninstall gmail mobile versi sebelumnya yang telah terinstall terlebih dahulu. Hm…kok ga bisa otomatis replace/upgrade aja ya? . Terpaksa di-uninstall dulu baru kemudian instalasi dilanjutkan lagi. Akhirnya installasi gmail mobile 2.0 sukses berjalan dan setelah dicoba memang benar lebih cepat dan lebih keren. Fitur yang paling baru yang terdapat dalam aplikasi gmail mobile ini adalah kemampuan memasukkan beberapa account user email gmail sekaligus dan bisa pindah dari satu account ke account lainnya dengan mudah dan cepat. Selain itu, gmail mobile 2.0 ini juga mendukung mode offline, maksudnya kita tetap bisa membaca dan menulis email walaupun tidak sedang terhubung ke internet. Semakin keren aja neh gmail mobile
